HEXANA is developing an innovative sodium-cooled fast modular reactor concept. As part of its Preliminary Design (APS), the company sought to structure the design of the “Nuclear Buildings and Infrastructure” scope and to secure the achievement of end-of-APS objectives.

JASAA helped adapt the technical ambitions to the project’s maturity, structure the interfaces between systems and secure the progress of the APS within the agreed schedule and budget objectives.

The approach delivered a design consistent with the maturity of the hosted systems, while limiting iterations and fostering an overall vision of the product.

For an equivalent result, the APS was completed with a budget and duration significantly lower than comparable SMR project benchmarks.
